Fences and decks take a beating in South Florida. Vinyl fences turn green on the shady side, wood decks go gray and slippery, and composite boards collect mildew in the grooves. Each material needs a different approach.
Vinyl fences
Vinyl cleans up well with a soft wash. The cleaning solution kills the algae and mildew, then a gentle rinse leaves it bright white again. High pressure isn't needed and can scuff the surface.
Wood fences and decks
Wood is soft and splinters easily. We use low pressure and wood-safe cleaners to remove the gray layer and mildew without raising the grain. Once clean and dry, wood is ready for stain or sealer if you want it.
Composite decking
Composite boards resist rot but still grow mold and mildew. A cleaner made for composites and a light rinse remove it without the high pressure many manufacturers warn against.
